Job Purpose

12 Month FTC - Potential for permanent



Reporting to, and working closely with the Head of Launch Marketing, the Performance & Partnerships Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the launch and ongoing subscriber acquisition strategy and delivery for BritBox in new markets, which includes supporting marketing through our Distribution Partners.

The role will collaborate closely with the Creative, Customer Care, Finance, Content and Tech teams, as well as specialist external performance media and digital marketing agencies.

As part of a relatively small team that will initially be in start-up mode it will be important for the incoming person to be a self-starter, happy to pick up tasks and projects that may not fall directly in their remit and be prepared to get involved in everything from strategy development to detailed execution and delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Marketing qualification desirable.
  • Marketing professional with experience and success in driving commercial growth within SVOD/ subscription services
  • Proven experience in digital acquisition channel across search, social and display
  • Experience with or an understanding of conversion rate optimisation and app store optimisation
  • Experience in or an understanding of CRM for acquisition
  • Demonstrable experience of working with third party agencies and creative teams to manage projects and deliver on time and on budget
  • Broadcast marketing experience with high profile brands is desirable
  • Partnership management
  • Experience of working in international markets is desirable


Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Launch Marketing to deliver the acquisition strategy that drives the growth targets and on budget for launch and ongoing. This includes campaign planning across Paid, Owned and Operated channels working alongside media agency(ies) and BBC channels stakeholders.
  • Work with the wider marketing team and internal creative team to deliver exceptional creative that is impactful, hardworking and support the overall brand positioning
  • Review and report on the full acquisition funnel metrics and trends daily, weekly and monthly. Ensure that performance insights along with recommendations for how to accelerate acquisition and improve efficiencies are communicated with stakeholders and built into plans
  • Lead and plan Acquisition led campaigns and monitor performance to drive improvements
  • Deliver a roadmap of acquisition initiatives that maximises opportunities from the editorial and product plans, market conditions and past learnings
  • Consistently test, learn, refine on creative and messaging to drive optimal performance in all channels with a focus on Digital
  • Work hand-in-glove with the media agency to continually identify opportunities for efficient customer acquisition
  • Work with the Data teams in order to identify channels which drive high LTV and revenue and build into forward planning
  • Work with the Product team to build and deliver the Acquisition optimisation strategy which ensure both landing pages and checkout funnel are maximised to drive FTS
  • Work with Product to deliver the SEO and ASO strategy
  • Support the Head of Launch Marketing in launching Trading tools such as Voucher code capabilities, MGM and Gifting
  • Work with commercial to define and agree offers in market to support growth plans that also delivers a positive LTV
  • Work closely with Media agency to manage quality modelling/ forecasting and campaign budget
  • Work with Finance and Distribution teams to support with wider platform and distribution partnership deals. This will include feeding in partnership ideas and requests that will drive subscription acquisition. Once the partnerships finalised, being the point person across marketing to fulfil contractual obligations and ensure all opportunities are maximised to drive subscriptions
  • Build relationships with our key distribution partners, sharing updates on our Content and Product roadmaps and working with them to build a Partner marketing strategy
  • Ensure all partnerships are maximised to their full potential, achieving commercial KPIs
  • Report on Partnership performance on a daily, weekly, monthly basis with recommendations for how to accelerate growth and improve efficiencies
  • Identify opportunities to develop new partner and affiliate tools/tactics and/or expand existing platforms for customer acquisition
  • Drive analysis and optimisation across partnership programs to enhance ROI and areas for new investments
  • Coordinate with wider marketing/brand team for support on creative messaging and campaign execution
  • Some early mornings/late evenings may be required occasionally to meet deadlines/meet with international team members
