An international company based in Crewe is looking for an Senior or Lead Infrastructure Engineer to help them with various incoming projects over 2021 and beyond whilst also assisting to continue with top-class service delivery.
You will be working alongside a small but skilled team of Infrastructure Engineers who like to work hard but also have a good time whilst doing it. There are clear plans for progressions and this is the kind of role that will suit someone who looks at a problem and comes up with solutions.
Working on a host of new products as well as the existing group infrastructure, you'll be responsible for strategy and planning, technical implementation, compliance and proposing new solutions.
As with most Infrastructure Engineers, it is hoped that you will have a rounded skill-set and the ability to pick up things as technologies change.Core skills you'll use are
- VMWare (vSphere)
- Administration & Maintenance of large scale VMware Horizon VDI Environment
- Thin Client Device Management
- Windows Server OS 2012 and 2016
- Ability to administer Active Directory Group Policy
- Network Administration
- Firewall Administration (Cisco, etc)
- Windows Clustering
- SD-Wan knowledge (Very desirable but NOT essential)
Commercial knowledge of VMWare Horizon is important, Azure or even experience with automation would be useful but if there are any gaps in your knowledge, they will help you plug them.
Aptitude is great but attitude is equally as important so a desire to keep learning is the main essential for this role
