ANALYST - CONFIGURATION

C£33,000 - KENT OR WEST MIDLANDS

As part of their ongoing planned and strategic growth, our logistics client is actively seeking to recruit a process driven (ITIL experience beneficial) and detail oriented Configuration Analyst / Business Analyst to support the Tech Development Manager who is responsible for all internal and external IT systems and a team of 8.

The brand new role of Configuration Analyst takes responsibility for carrying out ongoing configuration to core systems including MS Dynamics, Business Central, a bespoke Enterprise software and the newly implemented TMS (transport management system) within a change-controlled environment.

Your ideas and recommended changes to existing configuration practices will be welcome and supported.

Key tasks:

· Assist in the definition, test and documentation of new client configuration requirements,

· Lead UAT on discrete changes and convert business requirements into technical solutions.

· Client account and user setup, service ratings, service routing and service SLA's - with each case requiring accurate definition and manipulation of data using several technology tools.

· Liaising with colleagues to understand requirements and how any changes are to be configured and rolled out.

· Build trust with internal stakeholders, managing information gathering meetings, questioning requests and delivering results

· Taking responsibility for making changes to systems to allow business continuity on elements such as Pricing, Contractual obligations, Transport Planning, Warehousing

· An essential task is to ensure that systems are maintained and enhanced in line with company practice and client contracted requirements.

· Trouble-shoot and resolve any configuration related data issues.

Technical skills required as a prerequisite:
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Experience within change controlled environment
  • Experience managing configuration in complex Enterprise applications
  • Familiarity with MS Dynamics or similar system
  • ITIL experience
  • Able to communicate using both IT speak and user language


Accountabilities:
  • Plan and execute assigned configuration tasks within agreed deadlines
  • Develop and maintain configuration requirements documentation
  • Analysis and resolution of configuration issues
  • Review and recommend changes to existing configuration practices
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing on discrete changes


During the 2 stage interview process you are required to demonstrate your strong technical acumen, a proactive approach working closely with internal and external stakeholder along with the tasks as set out above.

Due to the nature of this Configuration Analyst, there is the option of the successful candidate being able to work full time from home, but ideally, they will be either North Kent or West Midlands based and be open to an office and work from home combination.
