About the Role

Summary

As a junior designer, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of the core concepts and high-level design work assigned to you by the product director, helping to define the next generation of UX. Working at the cutting edge, you will design systems for a number of different communication software products across multiple pioneering technologies, including the latest AR, VR, and wearable advances. You will work closely with our machine learning team, helping to solve problems previously thought impossible, and design truly innovative applications. Our agile studio structure will allow your ideas to move from concept to prototype quickly. The systems you will work on will be varied and challenging, including user interface in emerging technology, monetisation systems and unlock structures, and content moderation systems. You will use a variety of tools to communicate this design to a team of artists and programmers and aid them in its implementation. You will have previous experience in a Junior Design role on at least one project.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to design, validate and amend general design concepts, features and assets efficiently and to quality
  • Work closely with QA to fix and validate bugs during the implementation of the design
  • Demonstrate a solid working knowledge of design theory
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in written form
  • Have a working knowledge of any relevant competitive applications
  • Support the design team as required
  • Continue to further your knowledge and ability by working with the development team

Education, Qualifications, and Certificates

We're looking for someone with:
  • A degree in software design, games design, or similar


Knowledge and Experience:

Things you must have:
  • Have some software design experience on a live product or released app

We'd be impressed if you had:

(the following skills and knowledge are desirable but unessential)
  • Worked on software with in-app currencies for mobile apps
  • Worked with advertising platforms in mobile apps
  • Experience in XR/VR/AR products
