About the company?

Are you an experienced Paraplanner but with an ambition to be an Independent Financial Adviser? Are you confident with clients and see yourself pursuing a long term career as an Independent Financial Adviser? My client is an IFA firm in South London who have been operating for over 25 years. They have an excellent reputation in the the local area and have a very solid grounding as a leading financial advice firm. They have a book of over 150 private wealth management clients (circa £100m AUM) who are occupational professionals (notably from the accountancy, medical, dental and financial services sector). This medium sized firm is well established with several branches to its business covering a range of financial services. Due to organic growth the Director is looking to add to his Advisory team with a dynamic and aspirational Junior Adviser who is local to South London who can become a leading member of the business in good time.

What you will be doing?

To begin with you will be working directly with the current Advisers of the firm helping with advising their current clients on full market products. You will attend client meetings and receive training and mentorship on all aspects of giving financial advice, then a share of clients will be allocated to you. A large proportion of their advice covers, high value Pensions, Investments and Tax Planning (notably IHT). Their highest net worth clients have circa £1m of investable assets so you must be confident dealing with these clients. You will not be required to do any business development and you will not need to bring clients with you as the firm has an abundance of clients to service, but if you have portable clients then this is welcomed. This role will be suitable for an experienced Paraplanner or Junior Adviser who is diploma qualified or one exam away from qualifying. If you are looking to do you chartered exams then they will provide full study support as the intention is for the successful candidate to be leading a small team and being a decision maker in the business within a few years.

What benefits you will receive?

You will benefit from a very generous salary, life assurance and private medical cover, and extensive exposure to working with an experienced Adviser. You will receive a generous holiday allowance. You will be enrolled onto a pensions scheme. Staff are regularly put on training programmes to benefit their development. There are excellent transport links to their offices, and the expectation is for someone to be in the office full-time, with the possibility of a few days working from home.
