As we embark on this journey of expansion, we are looking for Analog EDA Software Engineers to join our team to help revolutionise the way analog circuits are designed. You will be joining a highly experienced, proficient team of engineers and will need to be a good team player with a practical understanding of how to take engineering concepts to production.

As an Analog EDA Software Engineer, you will be comfortable working across the complete software development life cycle and provide key technical expertise and direction for the software development activities across the company. Experienced in Agile and other Software Development Lifecycle methodologies, you will have a strong track record in deploying and managing software development. As an excellent communicator and working as a key technical expert in software, you will work collaboratively and proactively with colleagues across a range of disciplines, including analog design, to develop the tools and infrastructure to automate the creation and verification of analog IP.

With an interest and enthusiasm to work on software and algorithms related to the physical world of semiconductors, there are many opportunities for you to apply your creativity and skills in automating IP design, enhance the productivity of designers and help change the industry.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Developing the software tools and infrastructure to significantly increase the productivity and automation of the analog semiconductor IP development process. This could include the design, layout, simulation, visualisation of results, user interfaces and core algorithm development
  • Helping to define and develop the software architecture, development processes and methodologies as well as the testing and release infrastructure
  • Developing interfaces for designers as well as industry standard EDA tools, design rules, design kits and configuration files
  • Working constructively and collaboratively across the company as part of cross-functional software and IP development teams
  • Understanding stakeholder's requirements and ensuring they are implemented effectively and efficiently
  • Providing expertise and guidance to colleagues, including software review and providing constructive feedback
RequirementsWhat we need from you
  • Proven knowledge and the application of concepts, best practices and methodologies related to software engineering, including agile development, continuous integration/ continuous deployment and automated test environments
  • Advanced object-oriented programming experience
  • Knowledge of Python, ecosystem and toolchain
  • Experience of working with stakeholders to understand features and behaviours (using gherkin style acceptance criteria or equivalent)
  • Experience of defining minimum viable products and walking skeletons
  • Experience of test-driven development and behaviour-driven development
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
Even better if you have
  • A good understanding of how analog integrated circuits are designed and developed
  • A background and enthusiasm in working on software and algorithms related to modelling of physical systems
  • Knowledge of EDA tools, ideally related to analog IP
  • Experience in Lisp/ Skill, Tcl & Open Access
  • Experience of domain-driven design
  • Experience of scalable cloud deployment
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry and IP development
