You will jointly be responsible for the management and co-ordination of the medical secretarial staff within Surgical Services, deploying resources to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient medical secretarial service and will work closely with the Assistant General Managers and the General Managers for both Surgical and Medical Services.

You will be educated to HND level and/or have equivalent qualification/experience. You will have a proven track record in the medical secretarial field and have experience of managing a waiting list. Knowledge of the PMS system and HEAT targets is essential for this post. Line Management experience within a healthcare setting is desirable.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to use your own judgement and initiative.

Hours: 37.5 per week, this post is fixed term until end March 2022.
