PROJECT ASSISTANT - ASHVALE£17,887 - £19,100 per annum (£9.17- £9.80 per hour)PERMANENTAre you passionate about gardening and horticulture and are looking for a rewarding role?About the roleWe are looking for a motivated Project Assistant to join our friendly Day Opportunities team. You will work primarily in Ashvale, our exciting horticultural project, which gives our residents and learners a therapeutic benefit and opportunity to express their creativity through gardening, growing and harvesting vegetables and plants, alongside caring for our on-site chickens.This rewarding role will see you support people with learning disabilities enabling them to create decorative work, such as planters and hanging baskets for sale to help raise funds for St Elizabeth's.In this role you will also be required to provide personal care to our residents and learners from time to time.About YouThis post offers a unique and rewarding opportunity to bring your creative skills and enthusiasm to St. Elizabeth's. You will be able to demonstrate good communication and leadership skills as you will be working as part of a small and friendly team. Experience and a keen interest in horticulture, gardening and craft making in a similar role is preferred, but a willingness to roll your sleeves up and get involved, combined with a genuine interest in the people that we support is essential.St Elizabeth'sSt Elizabeth's is situated in 68 acres of Hertfordshire countryside between Harlow and Bishop's Stortford.
