The post of Business Manager is a key position within the senior management structure of the estates and facilities division. Reporting to Associate Director of Estates & Facilities, the Business Manager is responsible for providing operational and strategic management support to the department and assist with the development and expansion of the estates and facilities portfolio, provide effective performance management and ensure appropriate governance of statutory and mandatory compliance.
The Business Manager has a wide range of responsibilities including acting as the interface between the Healthboards corporate and operational services to ensure the Estates & Facilities strategy is in line with the Boards priorities and the performance demonstrated yields adequate delivery for business need. In addition, the post holder will be expected to;
- strategically consider workforce needs,
- ensure the department demonstrates financial control
- monitor progress against key projects,
- work towards ensuring the estate is fit for purpose for delivering person-centred, efficient care and services.
