SRM are currently partnering with a PE backed business based in Hertfordshire who are seeking to urgently recruit an FP&A Lead. This role is offered on a temp to perm basis and requires an individual who is immediately available or on a short notice period.

This is an exciting time for the company as they and profitable and well-funded for growth over the following years. This is a key role in helping to shape and transform the finance e function from a transactional reporting engine to be a key driver of value creation through insightful analysis of historic and forward-looking information. In particular, a complete reinvention of management reporting is required to integrate financial and operational KPIs into regular business operations and a culture of regular business-led forecasting needs embedding across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and delivery of a new management reporting framework incorporating both operational and financial KPIs, working with a newly appointed group Financial Controller
  • Take full ownership of the five year strategic financial plan model, ensuring that it is kept up to date in terms of historic and forecast periods, working closely with Executive Management
  • Lead the budget process for Calendar 2022, ensuring that key business drivers are properly understood and planned for
  • In due course, provide analytical/practical support to M&A activities and a potential exit as required

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Deep experience of financial modelling, including fully integrated P&L/Balance sheet/Cashflows
  • Experience of working with both finance and operational systems to deliver useful management information, either directly or via a data warehouse
  • Experience running a corporate or divisional/entity annual budget process

Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Experience analysing KPIs and designing appropriate reporting
  • Experience in a Private Equity-backed business
  • Experience of M&A and/or an Exit process

To Apply:
  • Qualified Accountant CIMA/ ACCA or ACA
  • Strong Financial Modelling and budgeting experience
  • Strong excel and ERP experience
  • A truly collaborative team player, but willing to take ownership and responsibility as necessary
