You'll be based at our Broadlands Business Campus near Horsham in West Sussex. It's home to our EMEA Operations and Technology Operations hub. It has the same high standards and international reputation as our HQ in the City of London, without being in the city: a big, countryside campus (and no commute on the Tube) means life will feel a little different.

Your new role

The team

As a member of the Statutory Reporting Team you will provide oversight of the official report and accounts production across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. The team forms part of the wider Fund Accounting function.

What you'll do
  • Review of financial statements and liaison with third party administrators
  • Evaluate reporting disclosures and adherence to prevailing regulatory requirements
  • Engagement with the audit process and assist in resolution of queries
  • Keeping abreast of industry and technical developments including analysis and application of regulatory updates e.g. annual SORP revision
  • Spot problems and triage them, making sure controls are adhered to and exceptions are escalated quickly
  • Assist with the design and implementation of any updates or enhancements to relevant processes/systems
  • Assist with associated Fund Accounting oversight processes within the team, commensurate with the skills outlined
  • Work with key stakeholders to make sure we understand their requirements and meet their expectations
  • Assist in analysing issues and discrepancies within the reporting production cycle
  • Make the team more efficient by spotting weaknesses in our processes, suggesting and help to implement solutions
  • Help design and implement updates or enhancements to processes and systems
  • Maintain an up-to-date view of reporting requirements, including regulatory changes
  • Contribute to the management information and key performance indicators senior management need
  • Take part in reporting projects

What you'll need to succeed
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
  • Accountancy, finance or business related qualification
  • Knowledge of fund reporting, knowing what IA SORP or CSSF means
  • Good with Microsoft applications, including Excel

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
  • General understanding of fund operations and the investment management industry
  • Knowledge of different fund structures within EMEA
  • Experience of working on reporting implementation projects
