Management Accountant -Our client is an established Group of holiday letting agencies enjoying a period of rapid growth through acquisitions, organic growth and new startups. They operate several offices across the South and West and are looking for a Management Accountant to take responsibility for the day-to-day financial operations of one of their subsidiaries based from in their head office.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with one their regional teams and add value by identifying and implementing operational changes to maximize financial efficiencies.

The successful candidate will become a financial business partner to the operational teams and be expected to visit offices in Cornwall and Devon on a regular basis.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

Daily/Weekly
  • Check & process supplier invoices
  • Process and reconcile supplier payments
  • Credit control
  • Journal entry

Monthly
  • Process customer invoices
  • Process and reconcile credit card expenditure
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Manage intercompany recharges
  • Reconcile the Fixed Asset Register and depreciation charges
  • Produce Month end management accounts at hub level and consolidated for company
  • Review management accounts and KPIs with service managers and then with Finance Manager and Commercial Director

Quarterly
  • VAT returns

Annually
  • Work with service managers to produce regional office budgets
  • Yearend management accounts
  • Preparation of financial audit files

Ad Hoc
  • Manage contracts and quotations
  • Respond to queries from both internal and external stakeholders

Required Skills and Experience:
  • In possession of, or working towards, a professional accounting qualification - ACCA, ACA or equivalent would be preferable but not essential
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of finance and accounting standards, including statutory and regulatory reporting and compliance
  • Self starter with energy drive and enthusiasm
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to explain financial reports to non-finance trained colleagues
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • A hands-on approach to getting the job done
