Claims Recovery Specialist - Remote

Do you have experience within a claims environment?

Would you like to work for a leading global insurance provider in a fully remote role?

Offering a basic salary of £22,000 plus performance bonus of £1000 (per annum) along with benefits for all employees including private medical cover, Life assurance, Pension, discounted travel insurance and Eye Care vouchers.

What will your working week be like?

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00-18:00.

You will recover paid claims costs where applicable, ensuring opportunities are maximised and target savings are realised. You will communicate with customers, other insurers and third parties, logging details of conversations and documents onto the claims system. You will take an active role in training claims specialists on recovery methods.

Working within the Customer Experience hub, you will report to the Customer Claims Manager. You will work as part of a specialist claims team, supporting and guiding in recovery processes.

Responsibilities to include:
  • Identify and initiate potential recovery opportunities from third parties
  • Monitor all aspects of any recovery opportunity, logging details and incoming payments
  • Conduct regular file reviews to identify any training needs
  • Manage the relationship between claims, sharing knowledge and initiatives

Are you suitable for this role?

As this role is fully remote, it's important that you are able to create a healthy workspace, which includes good lighting, comfortable temperature and a suitable desk and chair. You'll need a quiet and secluded place to work, ideally a room that you can use as a home office, whilst you are working. Your desk should be a suitable size to accommodate a thin client (PC), two screens, keyboard and mouse. While working, a professional environment should be maintained - no background noise or interruptions please!

In addition to the equipment described above, you will also be provided with a smart phone and headset, so you are ready to go! You will need to have a minimum Wi-Fi Internet speed of 10mbps.

Our client does require:
  • Experience within a claims environment, including call handling is an essential requirement
  • Knowledge of travel insurance desirable, however, will consider any insurance background
  • A good level of global geographical knowledge
  • High standard of verbal and written communication
