Leading professional services company is actively recruiting for an experienced Technical Solutions Consultant to carry out data analysis, provide data insights, lead data integration projects and transfers. This will include assisting with the support of service delivery systems, technical project delivery and to be a point of escalation to clients. Design, build, deploy, support, and test integrations of new processes and applications into the existing systems.

Key responsibilities for the position of Technical Solutions Consultant (Payroll / Excel / Salesforce / SQL)
  • Responsible for data flows via import and export including setting up of new clients in systems along with data manipulation and analysis.
  • Responsible for third-line support tasks
  • Act as a point of contact for escalations on software supported by the team.
  • Contribute to and encourage knowledge documentation and sharing in the Support team with resolution of calls.
  • Lead a small team to effectively manage cases, adhere to processes and procedures by prioritisation.
  • Participate in the development of systems by recommending, implementing, and administer methods and procedures to enhance operations.
  • Maintain a level of knowledge on new technologies sufficient to understand their applicability to our client base and to implement and support them, if appropriate
  • Motivate and foster creativity, communication and team working.
  • Proactively analysing, identifying and remedying potential issues with software
  • Manage integration projects and ensure that they meet business requirements and goals
  • Responsible for Integration Testing activities, working with analysts, system designers, and business owners as required to deliver successful outcomes
  • Communicate with the software developers and engineers to address any issues in program logic.
  • Design, configure, test and deploy new software functionalities including bug fixes, reports and dashboards as per requirements.
  • Responsible for software integration projects between systems including specification, design and testing.
  • Take an active role in improving and automating manual processes by carrying out reviews of existing processes and suggesting alternatives.
  • Write and review specifications on changes to the software and for new functionality.

Essential skills required for the position of Technical Solutions Consultant (Payroll / Excel / Salesforce / SQL)
  • Good understanding of payroll and payroll cycle (essential)
  • MS Office skills must be competent overall
  • MS Excel must be able to analyse, manipulate and check large amounts of data quickly using in-built tools such as copy/paste values, text to column, filtering, sorting, lookups, conditional formatting, tables, pivot tables (essential)
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator - ADM201 (essential), Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder (desirable)
  • Experienced in understand file structures including CSV, flat and XML files (essential)
  • Previous experience writing requirement specifications (essential)
  • Experience of import/export of data into systems to carry out such work (essential)
  • Hands on knowledge of databases including MS Access, SQL and/or Oracle (desirable)
  • Automation tool knowledge (desirable)
  • Must be capable of working with remotely located colleagues and clients using tools such as WebEx and Teams (essential)
  • Experience of supporting software systems either on premise or cloud systems (desirable)
  • Knowledge of scripting or other software development experience (desirable)
  • Proven people and issue management, team leadership and organisation
