Well known UK insurance company seeks to appoint a Build Engineer / Release Enginerr (Software Developer/ Software Engineer) to play a key role in the build and release of a range of insurance applications into an IAAS environment. Any development language experience of API and/or Application Development on a Business Process Management (BPM) software application can be considered.
The Build Engineer / Release Engineer will play a key role in the delivery and version control of incremental enhancements made to a large suite of Insurance Brokerage and Underwriting applications into the cloud environment. You will employ DevOps tools such as Kubernetes or Docker for containerisation and have experience of administering Jenkins and creating pipelines. Due to the nature of the work a great deal of interaction with the business will be required and as such exceptional communication skills are pre-requisite. Agile/Scrum methods are employed within this team and you will become involved with fortnightly sprints.
We are searching for a Software Engineer / Build Engineer / Release Engineer / Software Developer / Full Stack Developer who has been worked deploying / releasing and integrating Java based applications into enterprise level cloud platforms such as Azure. You will be happy to work within this build/release capacity for a 12 month project to assist in the digital transformation and deployment to the cloud packaged enhancements for numerous business applications and undertake effective version control and repository management in Git.
You will have solid scripting skills, either Groovy or Shell, and have gained experience in a DevOps environment having gained some exposure to Jenkins, SonarQube; Artifactory; Kubernetes or Terraform. Full stack application development experience, experience of AGILE/Scrum and exceptional communication skills will enable consideration for this role.
