Description

What you'll be doing?

As Infrastructure Manager you will assist in the design, assessment, implementation and continual improvement of the IT Infrastructure. In addition, you will manage, supervise, mentor, train and carry out performance appraisals for all members of the Infrastructure Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take responsibility for all Windows servers running a host of applications such as Hyper-V, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, IIS, Desktop Virtualisation (RDS/Citrix), Microsoft SQL, Sharepoint, Security applications (AppSense, BitDefender) and business applications
  • Take responsibility for decisions influencing the procurement/purchasing of valuable and complex hardware and software
  • Make major decisions on strategic and operational delivery of IT systems and services
  • Liaise with other teams and agencies, internal and external to achieve co-ordination of standards, work plans and targets
  • Be responsible for the deployment of new infrastructure in line with core business requirements and strategies

Profile

Key Skills & Experience:
  • Experience of team leading or management
  • NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification in an IT related subject
  • Strong technical knowledge in Microsoft technologies both server and desktop
  • Able to lead and motivate a team to ensure objectives and deadlines are achieved
  • Proven experience of managing a virtual desktop & server environment
  • Proven experience of configuration, support and maintenance of Windows servers in a 500 users plus high availability environment

Job Offer

Salary:

£49,000 - £53,000
