Job Details

One of our largest public sector clients based in London are looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager on a 2-year FTC with a salary equivalent of £48,805 per annum. It is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. The working arrangement will be almost fully remote with occasional attendance for meetings with stakeholders until the foreseeable future.

Purpose of the role:

Our client has been chosen by the Mayor of London to drive the regeneration of the area of east London around Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. This mean the client is looking at many different things, from building new homes, schools, universities, cultural institutions, and business premises; to managing a beautiful Park and fantastic sporting venues; to running community events and sports programmes.

The client is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager for this role. Reporting to the Head of Asset & Estate Management but supporting the Transition workstream, the role has been created to proactively lead the assets & adoptions workstream.

This will include mapping and identifying corporate liabilities and overseeing the adoptions process. This will include taking a lead on the project management whilst also providing technical advice and support on assets and adoptions as the client moves towards the eventual transition of its functions to other successor bodies.

Working cross departmentally, the Senior Project Manager will manage, monitor, and coordinate the property and assets aspect of the Transition workstream being delivered directly by the client, working with the project leads and project teams.

The Senior Project Manager will lead on the preparation, creation, and implementation of a strategy to map out each asset category and liability, ensuring it remains up to date and fit for purpose. The successful candidate for this key role will be project management trained with senior experience in the delivery and management of infrastructure and utility projects and have experience of influencing and managing a range of senior stakeholders in delivering a complex programme.

Due to the nature of the role, applicants with experience working as a project manager within asset and estate management would be desirable. If you have the required experience and skill set apply now.
