Leading specialist Power Engineering firm within the High and Low Voltage Switchgear sector.
As Commissioning Technician, you will assist Commissioning Engineers with all Testing, Commissioning, Maintenance and Installation activities of HV / LV Switchgear, Power transformers and protection relays for onsite projects specifically with the following duties: HV/LV Power System Testing & Commissioning, Pre-Commissioning, Final Commissioning, Maintenance and Installation of Power Assets, SAP Duties up to 11Kv. You will get involved with small projects and controlling working party of Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Contract documentation including labour resource. You will ensure working environment is clean, tidy and safe for access & egress, control site time scales to meet contract deadlines, organise and control of test / commissioning documentation along with ensuring site equipment /tools are fit for purpose and in calibration and tested to complete specific job requirements. You will support manufacturing division with the Build & Testing of Custom-built Low Voltage & High Voltage Switchgear & Protection Relay Projects. Reporting to Site Management on a daily basis for all site activities as required, you will oversee general site labour management. Ensuring compliance with the FORS, Health & Safety and environmental policies of the firm and its customers, you will be responsible for continuous and effective responsibility for all transport H&S and associated processes.
You should have a minimum of 2 years' experience within a Commissioning Technician or related role. Power Engineering / HV/LV / Switchgear experience is essential and you focus should be developing a career within Commissioning Engineering.
