The Role

A Software Support Engineer position suited for a candidate that has around 6 to 12 months' worth of commercial experience in an IT Software Support or Helpdesk environment and has a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Reporting to the Projects Team Leader, your main responsibilities are across software configuration and project implementation:

- Analysis (presentations, configuration reviews and investigation of solutions)

- Attendance, if required of specification workshops

- Design and configuration, including the implementation, modification, and maintenance of new and existing configurations

- Testing (unit test on configurations)

- Supporting Project Manager on going live at client sites, closure, support and feedback

Skillset/Personality

- A completed university degree in any computing discipline (not essential, but valuable in the understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle)

- Around 3-6 months' commercial experience in an IT software support or helpdesk role

- A logically thinking problem solver with the ability to listen to specifications and provide solutions

- Teamwork and independence

- Task prioritisation, time-management, and deliverance of projects to strict time deadlines

- Flexibility in approach to working hours and styles of work
