Job Details

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Claims Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a full time position working from either our Darlington or Knaresborough office.

About the opportunity:

To manage and develop the effective delivery of the AIUA and BIBU claims service and operational capability of the claims team in line with; all awarded delegated authorities; Geo business standards; the agreed direction of business strategy.

You will also need to deal with the fair and timely management of claims handling in line with all associated delegated authorities awarded to AIUA and BIBU by capacity Insurers in line with the company's technical and service philosophies and standards.

Job Description:
  • Ensuring effective and economic resolution of all claims handled within the AIUA and BIBU claims teams within the awarded delegated authorities
  • Team leadership and daily management responsibilities
  • Team member performance management; appraising and developing staff to ensure that the team is resourced with well-motivated and capable individuals
  • Recruitment and Induction
  • Group claims contact
  • Workflow and operational process
  • KPI and MI production and utilisation, monitoring results and identifying underlying trends
  • Broker relationship management
  • Third party relationship and performance management
  • Ensuring all relevant changes in response to changes in regulation, legislation, market conditions or business philosophy are effectively implemented
  • Delegated Authority management and delivery
  • Claims strategy - Design and Implementation
  • Claims Conduct
  • Complete Internal and external audits
  • Technical delivery and process
  • Handle Complaints
  • Handle Technical referrals
  • Handling delegated authority claims end to end
  • Developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships
  • Development and implementation of effective operational procedure
  • Adherence to business standards
  • Handling claims within a delegated authority framework
  • Managing an effective license-controlled claims environment
  • Managing adherence to agreed SLA's in a technical handling environment
  • Technical competency in the key delegates authority areas
