We are delighted to invite applications for a Head of Nursing/Midwifery Post within NHS Fife acute division. This post is within the Women, Children and Clinical Services Directorate. You should be a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who has the creativity, experience, skills, energy and commitment to play a key role in the development, leadership and delivery of nursing services across the acute services division.
You will support the Associate Director of Nursing and Associate Director of Midwifery and work closely with the other Heads of Nursing to further develop and implement key nursing and midwifery priorities. Leading by example in the context of safe, effective, and person centred care; with evidence based practice and policy that reflects local and national priorities, you will provide clinical leadership and advice on a range of key priorities as a core aspect of the role for the WCCS Directorate
You will work closely with a range of stakeholders at local, regional and national level including collaboration with Medical and Allied Health Professional colleagues to support working across professional and organisational boundaries as well as promoting a supportive and compassionate, caring and kind culture.
You will require being a first level registered nurse or midwife, educated to Masters level or demonstrable equivalent with contemporary experience in acute healthcare. A related post-graduate or professional qualification in Quality Improvement would be desirable. An expert knowledge of current nursing and midwifery developments, and a demonstrable track record of success in a senior nurse/midwife role within a complex health care environment is essential
