To be responsible for reviewing, drafting and amending a wide range of documentation, contracts and budgets connected to commercially and non-commercially initiated research and development, and to ensure that NHS Lothian, ACCORD* and NRS** (see section 5 below) meets their obligations relating to the management and negotiation of sponsored and hosted clinical research.
The post-holder will ensure that this work follows local and national Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions and will be proactive in formulating policy relating to their area of responsibility.
