Full-Time Senior Healthcare Support Worker Community Secondary Care Hubs and Out Patient Department ARI

Band 3 Health Care Support Worker post to be worked flexibly over five days depending on needs of the service

A senior HCSW post has arisen within Ambulatory Care in the Community Secondary Care Hubs. This post would be predominantly based in our network of Community Hubs that perform diagnostic testing (Basic Observations, Phlebotomy and Urinalysis) for Secondary Care patients in the community, there are plans to expand the skills required and increase that amount of hubs that are operational.

The hubs are currently based in Aberdeen, Stonehaven, Inverurie, Fraserburgh, Aboyne, Turriff and Peterhead, we are looking to expand throughout Grampian with Banchory being the next hub planned.

Access to a car and driving licence are essential as is a willingness to travel to the various hubs as well as to work at ARI OPD when required.

We are looking for hard working individuals who can work well under pressure due to the high volume of work and patients that pass through our clinics on a daily basis. Someone who is forward thinking, organised, acceptable to change, is able to help plan and carry out the day to day running of the clinic with remote support, as well as someone who is motivated, trustworthy, communicates well with others, and is aware of their own limitations.

There will be some lone working involved and experience of lone working and managing own workload would be advantageous.

Informal enquires to SCN Marie Moreton 01224 554125 marie.moreton@nhs.scot or NM Andrea Dryburgh 01224 550830 andrea.dryburgh@nhs.scot.
