We are excited to be recruiting a new Team Leader (Justice Advocacy and Prevention) position and the ideal candidate will be experienced in overseeing trauma-informed service development and have experience in supporting and supervising staff in the delivery of front line support services.

Established in 2004, Lanarkshire Rape Crisis Centre (LRCC) provides a support, information and advocacy service for survivors aged 12 and over across Lanarkshire who have been subjected to recent and/or historic sexual violence, including rape, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse and commercial sexual exploitation. We also work in schools and with young people across Lanarkshire and strategically with multi-agency partners, towards preventing sexual violence.

We are passionate about improving the lives of women and girls in particular across Lanarkshire and excited to be expanding our staff team to develop front line support services to survivors of sexual violence and our Sexual Violence Prevention programmes in schools, colleges and universities.

Job role

To oversee delivery of specialist therapeutic support, information, and advocacy services to survivors age 12+ affected by sexual violence and to oversee and develop the delivery of sexual violence prevention work. The post holder will work closely with our Team Leader (Support Services) and service delivery staff team to coordinate the day-to-day activity within the Justice Advocacy and Prevention services. To raise awareness about the prevalence and impact of abuse on individuals and our communities, building resilience and increasing access to support service. This position will involve effective monitoring and evaluation of projects and supporting the Centre Manager with funding reports and applications.

Salary, Conditions, Pension

The salary for this post is £32,312 (pro rata for part time hours) and attracts a pension contribution of 6%. We offer a generous 42 annual leave days, including 12 public holidays (pro rata for part time hours) as well as Death in Service benefit of 2x annual salary.

Further Information

This a part time, fixed term post of 28 hours a week, funded initially until 30 September 2023. Hours to be worked flexibly to suit the needs of the service, regular evening and occasional weekend work will be required.
