Early Years Lead Practitioner

24.5 hours per week
Temporary up to 30 June 2022
£24,127 - £26,408 / £26,865 - £29,474 pro rata (including Distant Islands Allowance)

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who would enjoy being part of a dynamic whole-school team to help deliver flexible, high quality care and education-centred service that meets the needs of young children and their families.

For appointment at G6
You should have a good general standard of education including literacy and numeracy and successfully complete a relevant qualification to allow registration as a Practitioner (Day Care of Children) within 3 years of taking up the post. You are required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of taking up the post and maintain this registration.

For appointment at G7
You should hold a recognised qualification that enables registration with the SSSC as a Practitioner (Day Care of Children) e.g. HNC in Early Education and child Care or SVQ Level 3 Social Services (Children and Young People). You are required to register with the SSSC within the first 6 months of taking up post and maintain registration.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
