Head of Geography (Maternity Cover)

The King Alfred School is looking for an ambitious and talented teacher to join our unique and exceptional school from mid-to-late November 2021 or January 2022 (dates are flexible for the appropriate candidate).

You will:
  • Lead a small departmental team
  • Teach across the full Geography age range, including GCSE and A level
  • Play a full role in the life of the school

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences:
  • A good honours degree and QTS
  • Relevant classroom experience and a track record of successful teaching
  • The ability to establish successful relationships with students, parents and staff

Due to the responsibilities that come with this post, it would not be suitable for an NQT or ECT.

The salary for this role will be made up of two parts. First, the successful candidate will be placed on the KAS scale, which is the same as the Outer London pay scale with the addition of the KAS supplement (c.£5,000). Second, there will a management allowance of c.£7,000.
