Cyber Security Engineer Milton Keynes £45,000 - £50,000 p.a Dependent on experience

Your new role
You will be implementing new working procedures for the Cyber Security and be the liaison between the Company and the Board.

  • Research/evaluate emerging Cyber threats and managing them
  • Plan for recovery and Contingency plan
  • Monitor for attacks, intrusions and illegal activity
  • Testing and Evaluation of products
  • Design and update existing security systems
  • Using advance analytic tools to determine threat patterns and vulnerabilities
  • Engage in Ethical Hacking
  • completion of annual risk assessment
  • Completion of annual PEN Testing
  • Organising all Cyber Security documentation
  • Identifying weakness and implement measures such as fire wall encryption
  • liaise with stakeholders in Cyber Security relations and future recommendations
  • Reports for Technical and non Technical staff and stakeholders
  • Maintaining internal and external information security audits
  • Monitoring 'Phishing' and 'Pharming' activity
  • Cyber Security training and awareness to staff
  • Support IT Manager to ensure a reliable and robust communication infrastructure both data and telephony
  • Taking on additional tasks to meet departmental, project related or developmental objectives


What you'll need to succeed
  • A passion for Cyber Security
  • Excellent IT skills including knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware and security
  • Familiarity with the following solutions, Carbon ablack, KnowB4, Logic Monitor Proofpoint, MDM (such as intune)
  • Good knowledge of fire walls, host instruction and anti-virus
  • Analytic skills, identifying threats, risks, patterns and trends
  • Team work with clients and the team
  • Verbal and communication skills around others
  • Writing technical reports skills
  • Time management and organisation skills to meet deadlines
  • Multi tasking and prioritise work load
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • An ability to work under pressure when dealing with threats of high demand
