Project Manager - Application Delivery - Retail

London, City (2 days from home)
Salary: £60,000 + bonus + bens

An excellent opportunity has arisen with a global technology company who provide high profile products and services within the retail sector. We are recruiting for a project manager to manage a range of software implementation projects, these are high profile, SaaS, digital and data driven.

Responsibilities:
  • To own programmes of delivery for customers through implementation and owards from go-live to support the renewal processes
  • To report on the overall success of programmes and progress with defined delivery plans incorporating both technical delivery with business process development and communciations
  • Develop a deep understanding of our community and individual customer's needs to design, build and operate a successful working model
  • Leverage existing and agreed industry ways of working with customers to harmonise the working models applied across the customer base
  • Create, manage and continually enhance the proposition to our customers through feedback mechanisms such as utilisation reporting and NPS
  • Support new ideas generation through knowledge of industry trends and standards to further improve and priortise the development pipeline for the product
  • Conduct service reviews throughout the customer journey with clear measures of success throughout the delivery programme and migration of service through transition into operations

Requirements
  • Proven work experience in delivery of software development programmes and release management
  • Proven track record of managing delivery success OTOB and with high customer success
  • Proven ability to manage complex and competing priortisation of resource to deliver a successful outcome
  • Proven ability to develop delivery strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
  • A proven ability to utilise industry best practice to deliver programmes/projects (such as Agile) while maintaining compliance to core processes (such as ITIL/ISO27001)
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development, working with outsource service providers / cloud technologies
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job delivered
  • Strong reporting and analytical experience to deliver reporting to executive management
  • Proven ability to effectively manage and focus robust and diverse group of stakeholders, delivering specified outcome to time and budget
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills, supported by excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability
  • Politically astute with experience of managing mixed internal and external stakeholder groups
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office

Desirable
  • Experience in the retail sector and/or product master data
  • MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred stacks
  • Prince 2; Agile certification and/or ITIL service management professional qualifications
