Good primary school located in Chorley is seeking an Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to start ASAP

This OFSTED rated good primary school located in Chorley has an excellent reputation within the local area for the support provided to all pupils and staff and also the fantastic curriculum they hold. This school is easily accessible via the motorway or public transport and due to an increase in funding this role will be on a full time basis until at least Christmas 2021.
Your new role
Joining the school as soon as possible your responsibilities will include working 1:1 with an Autistic pupil who needs full support, teaching phonics and preparing work for the pupil and delivering this in line with their abilities. You will also be working very closely with the class teacher to ensure the pupil is receiving the highest level of support and that they are on track to reaching their full potential.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this role you must hold experience working with children in any setting and you must also have experience working with SEN pupils, preferably Autism but this is not essential. You must also have the availability to commit to this role on a full time basis.
