We are looking to recruit a Trustee (NED) with a substantial track record within the world of Finance, providing you with the ability to offer strategic and more tactical advice and support to the charity.
The The MedicAlert Foundation seeks to give peace of mind to anyone living with a medical condition, allergy or other health need, by providing access to their vital personal medical information in an emergency.
What will you be doing?
- There are currently four Board meetings a year and 3-4 committee meetings per committee.
- An additional day for planning could potentially be required.
- Meetings are held at Liscombe Park, near Leighton Buzzard but can be attended online.
- This is a three-year term with the possibility of re-appointment for a further three-year term.
What are we looking for?
As our current Finance Trustee and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee is coming to the end of their term of office, we are looking to recruit a new Trustee (Non-Executive Charity Director) with a financial background and experience of finance strategy and operations. As a qualified accountant, you will ideally have experience of the charitable sector. You will have strong demonstrable skills in building and developing working relationships that will help the charity grow its membership base and profile and be motivated to use your own networks and experience to help create opportunities to raise the profile of MedicAlert’s services with key audiences.

Please note that interviews will be held by video link, via Google Meet, with the Chair of Trustees and two other members of the Trustee Board.
4 Board meetings each year (4 hours) + 4 meetings per committee (2 hours). Meetings can be attended remotely.
