We are a leading music e-commerce retailer based in London and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, hands-on IT Operations Manager to join us.

Based in London, UK, our web site was launched in March 1996, and since then we have built a reputation as the most comprehensive source for new and back catalogue dance music, DJ and studio equipment. We now offer over 500 new releases each week, and have more than 45,000 titles in stock.

The Role:

We are now recruiting for an experienced IT Operations Manager to manage our IT operations (excluding website infrastructure).

Key Responsibilities:

+ Day-to-day operation of the IT infrastructure networks, Windows and Linux servers, virtual desktop infrastructure and telephony.
+ Leadership and management of the desktop and infrastructure support teams, including recruitment, performance reviews, objective setting, training and development.
+ Liaising with third-party providers of cloud servers and storage.
+ Management of infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations, new system implementations.
+ Working with the development teams to maintain availability of client web applications and databases.
+ Working with the IT Director to develop and execute the infrastructure strategy and roadmap.
+ Identifying gaps in IT provision and recommending solutions to satisfy business requirements.
+ Ensuring appropriate levels of design and configuration documentation are created and maintained.
+ Ownership of infrastructure incident management processes including reporting, investigation, root cause analysis and remediation activities.
+ Maintaining awareness of current security threats and ensuring all systems are appropriately hardened against these threats.
+ Working with the IT Director to create and update processes and procedures to manage and reduce information security risk.

About You:

+ Broad technical knowledge and experience across IT networking, infrastructure and security.
+ Strong knowledge of networking technologies and telephony services.
+ Microsoft, virtualisation, LAN, WAN, cloud-hosted server infrastructure.
+ Cloud storage technologies.
+ Experience developing, maintaining and improving IT infrastructure architecture in similar organisations.
+ Technical specifications and documentation.
+ Line manager with responsibility for 1-2 support staff.
+ Supplier management.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills
+ Minimum 3 years of IT operations management.
+ Multiple years of performing 3rd line infrastructure operational tasks and processes.#Excellent all round knowledge of IT Security (Physical and Cyber).
+ Experience of managing/leading teams
