A successful and innovative PR / Public Affairs consultancy working in the property and planning industry is seeking an experienced consultant to join its dynamic team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PR specialist to join a trusted PR & Communications brand that helps secure planning for challenging and ambitious property development projects for the likes of Sainsbury’s, Barratt Homes, Taylor Wimpey and Travelodge. If you are looking to build upon your experience of stakeholder engagement in the property development & planning industry we'd love to hear from you. The role is also open to candidates who have worked on complex and sensitive projects within the highly-regulated, political, environmental and built environment space.

Who we are:

We specialise in political and community relations in the property industry with offices in Oxford, London and the South West. This exciting opportunity would involve dealing with complex and often contentious issues in order to help support our clients’ development projects through the planning system and construction phase.

About You:

The successful candidate will report to a Director and need to have experience of political and community relations in a similar role, which requires excellent communication skills, an ability to adapt and think creatively. They will also need to be a self-starter. The capability to develop and manage coordinated community engagement strategies which include political and media liaison is essential.

Essential skills and qualities for the role include:

+ Proven track record in PR
+ Excellent written and verbal communications skills
+ Experience of working in stakeholder engagement (ideally within the property development and planning industry)
+ Experience of coordinating and delivering effective communications strategies (including the use of social media) to support development proposals
+ Experience of managing a team
+ Experience of managing project budgets
+ An interest in and understanding of local and national politics
+ A good understanding of the planning process
+ The ability build and foster relationships with key influencers
+ An eye for detail!
+ A full, valid driving licence and access to a car
+ Holds a CIPR qualification (desirable but not essential)
