Hospital Manager - Mental Health - Surrey

Salary - circa £90,000

Linq Healthcare have partnered with a national provider of mental health services, to recruit an experienced Hospital Manager for an established hospital in Surrey.

This hospital has 60 beds for adults (both male and female) who have mental health needs. The 60 beds are split across 5 wards, and include acute service, PICU and low secure.

This is a challenging role that will require a Manager with a strong personality, who is prepared to make tough decisions, get the team on board, and put their stamp on the service.

As the Hospital Manager for this mental health hospital, you will report directly to the Operations Director and will provide strong and effective leadership to the team onsite to ensure all functions are working efficiently in the hospital. This includes the clinical team, finance, HR, recruitment etc.

As the Hospital Manager you will be responsible for:
  • The overall day to day running of the hospital
  • Ensuring clinical, budgetary, regulatory and service development targets are met
  • Implementing risk assessment, risk management and embedding clinical governance within the hospital
  • Ensuring effective bed management and coordination of referrals
  • Participating in audit requirements
  • Reviewing and developing potential opportunities for improved quality and commercial growth

To be considered for this position of Hospital Manager you must have:
  • Managerial experience of leading a team
  • Be a qualified Nurse (although exceptions may be made for exceptional candidates_
  • The ability to work as part of a multi disciplinary team
  • Experience in management performance and working to CQC guidelines
