Who we are:

This speciality coffee hunting and importing company sources an extensive and varied selection of very fine green coffees from producers around the world for delivery to specialty roasters in more than 30 countries worldwide. Established in 1996 this growing business has a small, friendly and busy UK office as well as five International offices as well as European representatives. Liking coffee is not essential but will give added interest to this unique role!

Reporting to the Founder/Managing Director and responsible for our established Accounts co-ordinator, this role is pivotal to the business and holds responsibility for the day to day financial management of the Company as well as covering a wide variety of senior level SME duties such as facilities and staff admin management.

You’ll be responsible for:

+ Daily payments and transfers in multi-currency
+ Bank and cash reconciliations on several accounts
+ Management of cash flow
+ VAT returns
+ Payments to suppliers
+ Month end close in SAP
+ Monthly management accounts for ECOM group
+ Monthly sales and financial analysis and tax computations
+ Monthly cash flow forecasting
+ Liaison with ECOM (global commodity trading & processing co) for financial and reporting matters
+ Contact with Bank and other institutions
+ Credit control
+ Administer pension scheme
+ Sales commission calculations
+ Contact with external Accountant/Auditor for Accounts and Payroll
+ Full final year accounts and audit preparation

About You:

+ Demonstrable knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite
+ Knowledge and experience of SAP accounting system will be a huge advantage as this is the system used
+ Considerable (3 years +) proven experience in a similar role of this level
+ Formal UK Accountancy qualification ACCA / CIMA
+ Thorough awareness and proven ability to support an SME business in all areas of commerce
+ Exceptional senior manager with skilled leadership abilities
+ Independent and proactive, with the ability to resolve operational issues and queries
+ Ability to work to tight deadlines with exceptional attention to detail, efficiency and highly attuned organisational skills
+ Financially focused with lots of energy and motivation
+ Excellent business English communications, negotiation and customer service skills
