Relevant training, academic accomplishment and subject knowledge are also required.

Academics are seeking to recruit an ambitious and passionate teacher of Resistant Materials to join a hugely successful and highly regarded secondary school in Harrow. You will be working closely with the Head of Department and teaching up to A Level, building upon a very popular subject at the school. Starting in September 2021 we are seeking a teacher that is able to work Full time, we want to hear from teachers that have tenacity and dedication to delivering high quality lessons and learning materials to pupils of all abilities.

What do we require?

In order to be shortlisted for our Resistant Materials D&T vacancy you must:
  • Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) please note that without QTS we cannot put you forward for this role.
  • Be a well-qualified teacher of Resistant Materials and able to teach to A level.
  • Able and willing to experiment and try out new approaches to teaching and learning
  • A real desire to work in schools, to dedicate yourself to a committed team and support the learning of students.
  • be a fully qualified and dynamic Resistant Materials teacher
  • have confident subject knowledge and presence in lessons
  • believe in holistic education where students are inspired to believe in themselves as well as to achieve their best results
  • Understand the importance of team work and the importance of good working relationships with colleagues
  • Aware and committed to the safeguarding of all young people along with the health and safety in the work place
