Technical Support Engineer move into IT Account Manager

Based in Peterborough

Salary: £30,000

This excellent opportunity will suit a technical support engineer looking to move away from IT support and into an IT Account Management role.

Key Responsibilities:

* IT Account Management

* Contract renewals (mainly IT Support customers)

* Purchasing of IT equipment relating to customer opportunities

* Coordinating the delivery of hardware with customer and support engineers

Key Skills / Experience

* Excellent customer communication skills

* Excellent organisational skills

* Technical Support background

* Experience liaising with vendors/suppliers/partnership to ensure for optimal solutions/pricing for delivery to customers

* Knowledge of IT hardware products

* Knowledge of software products, not limited to but including Office 365, Exchange, Mimecast, Barracuda, Sophos, Bitdefender, Datto BCDR, Datto RMM, Veeam, Virtual1 & Exclaimer

* Familiar with AutoTask or similar PSA/CRM solution

* Experience with Sage 50/Sage Cloud

* Knowledge of SharePoint/One Drive for documentation purposes

* Experience using DocuSign for contract administration

* Experience running KPI reports through PowerBI/Excel to make informed decisions regarding contract renewals

Responsibilites

* Communicating with customers daily to understand their needs and offer solutions in collaboration with technical engineers through problem solving

* Working with IT Support Manager holding account reviews on a quarterly/semi-annual or annual basis with C-level/directors/managers

* Working with vendors/suppliers/partnerships to provide customer with the most optimal solutions

* Leading to the purchasing of hardware and software from preferred providers

* Management and administration of all purchase orders in Sage 50/Sage Cloud

* Administration of PSA/CRM solution to ensure all contracts are correctly configured for management and billing

* Running of KPI reports monthly to identify to customers areas for improvement and overall optimal IT operations

* Renewal of all contracts through PSA/CRM solution and using DocuSign during the process for e-signature
