The requirements of the role vary from client to client as all of our clients have individual care packages suited to their needs however some of the roles and responsibilities you will be required to support with are the following
- Aspects of personal care (toileting, assisting with personal hygiene)
- meal preparation
- medication prompts
- homecare support
- companionship including accompanying the client to shops, pharmacies and attending social groups and other activities
We also specialise in Alzheimer's and Dementia care, full training for specialist care is given.
The care we provide at Home Instead is based around 24 hours a day 7 days per week. We are flexible around hours however we require the alternate weekend (Saturday and Sunday.)QualificationsWe encourage people from different sectors to apply, whether that is: retail, hospitality, childcare, customer service, delivery driving. We provide continuous training from the start.
You will not need any experience of working in the care setting or interacting with older people but it would be desirable if you do. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience.
