A rapidly-expanding University with exciting plans for the future are looking for a Research Contracts Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Working in partnership with the University's academic teams, you will provide crucial specialist research contract services.
You will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating research contracts and agreements to ensure they protect the University's best interests. The successful candidate will identify and mitigate risks, interpret terms and conditions and, where necessary, draft effective and pragmatic alternative clauses. Working closely with colleagues throughout the University and external stakeholders, you will ensure that all contracts are fully understood.
In order to make a success of this role, you will have a Law Degree or significant experience in a comparable role, as well as significant legal experience with demonstrable involvement in contracts drafting and negotiation. As well as sound knowledge of commercial law, you will need to have experience of contract and intellectual property issues as these relate closely to higher education and funded research.
Full time starting salary is normally in the range of £33,309 to £37,127 per annum with potential progression up to £46,409 per annum.
