Alternatively, you may be an engineer or technical specialist looking for that opportunity to work more closely with customers, to support them and their managed hosting, cloud, storage, security and backup solutions.
Through this opportunity, the company can offer you a route to eventually becoming a Cloud Architect, Solution Presales Expert, or Technical Consultant.
The details of the role include:
Basic salary in the region of £72,500 per annum
Overall package of circa £80,000 including an annual bonus
25 days' annual leave + 8 bank holiday days

As the Technical Account Manager for Managed Hosting you will be the technical lynchpin between the enterprise customer accounts and the company. You will own the on-going technical relationship with a small number of top enterprise accounts located across the UK, mainland Europe, and US. You will be the primary technical interface and advocate for the customer, dealing with any requests, capacity upgrades, escalations, and queries.
Complex and critically important customer solutions may include managed hosting, dedicated servers, storage and backup technologies, firewalls and managed security, private or hybrid cloud, and database services.
Leveraging internal subject matter experts (SMEs) you will help customers plan and optimise their infrastructure, ensuring the technology fits their needs, capacity meets demand, and services delivered meets customer expectations.
You will build relationships with your customer accounts and execute an account plan that includes regularly schedule status calls, quarterly customer reviews, account documentation, and management updates. You will be the eyes and ears of the business, looking for new opportunities for the company to grow revenue and develop the account helping to protect existing revenues and identify new solutions or service opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a good level of technical knowledge across two or more of the following areas:
# Managed hosting including servers, and infrastructure
# Virtualisation, Windows and/or Linux platforms
# Public and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud)
# Security / cybersecurity including firewalls, IPS / IDS, proxies
# Storage, backup, database technologies
Prior customer facing and/or relationship management experience would be beneficial, however, we will also consider candidates who come from a pure technical background who are keen to move into a more hybrid technical account management and customer facing role.
