Cartesian is now recruiting Account Managers to support our growing consultancy business across EMEA, supporting ambitious growth plans in a very exciting time for the business and a critical time for the TMT sector.

Reporting directly into our Management Consulting VPs, the successful candidates will work within the existing consulting business supporting our Tier One client base. They will be an integral part of driving the success of our consulting engagements and realizing our ambitious growth aspirations.

The Account Manager will be assigned to a portfolio of accounts and will act as the bridge between their assigned clients and our talented consultancy teams. They will be responsible for all first line client management, delivery governance, administration and problem resolution activities. They will also be a key contributor into the strategic account planning for their assigned portfolio.

These high-profile roles have been created to further develop our focus on client engagement and delivery and enable the business to scale at the pace the market and propositions are currently dictating. They will involve managing stakeholder demands internally and within our clients. The role will suit someone who thrives on working in a fast paced, high-performing environment. You should be commercially savvy, obsessed with best-in-class client experience and possess exceptional problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end client delivery for a portfolio of consulting accounts across the UK and EMEA markets
  • Build long-term commitments and achievement-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels of our client businesses - Ensuring we deliver on our obligations
  • Manage the 360-degree client > consultant > Cartesian relationship axis with clarity and confidence
  • Interface with our EMEA governance manager to ensure engagement and delivery compliance
  • Proactively manage any client delivery issues 'head-on' efficiently, quickly and succinctly
  • Be the Cartesian representative on the ground. Active management of all working client relationships through an 'on-site' presence
  • Business Development - Front foot ownership of the organic account development activities; active relationship/client management, leveraging client, consultant and company feedback to drive new opportunities through to completion
  • Play an active role in the production and management of an ambitious account plan for each portfolio account
  • Portfolio Accountability - Thrive in the ownership of a portfolio of accounts. Manage/track/report accurately and efficiently to peers and senior management
  • Own and Live the numbers - Commercial management/control
  • A key member of the Cartesian EMEA BD team, providing client portfolio input into the wider EMEA business
  • Follow all internal management processes and supporting KPIs, including timely and accurate CRM maintenance
  • Understand sector and customer business requirements with the ability to quickly determine how our consultancy propositions can be applied - driving proposition evolution where required



Required Experience/Behaviours:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as an Account Manager or other similar role across front-line consulting services (or similar Professional Services) within UK and European Telecommunications, Media or Video players
  • A true people person, with a demonstrable track record of active client relationship -building, management and conflict resolution
  • High attention to detail and experience of producing/tracking financial performance for a portfolio (accounts/functional areas)
  • A motivated 'energetic' team-player able to work within a collaborative selling culture, where commitments are made and honored, learnings are shared and objectives are achieved
  • Experience in e2e commercial management; SOW creation, commercial milestone definition, PO tracking and invoice management
  • A passion for the TMT sector and the challenges faced by the industry
  • Willingness to travel frequently, when safe to do so
  • A desire to learn/develop in a fast paced/highly dynamic business
  • Have a creative and problem-solving mind, with a hunger for knowledge and a drive to push yourself to further your career.
  • First-rate communication and presentation skills
