About us

The RCOG is a professional membership association dedicated to improving women's health care across the world. We do this by setting standards for clinical practice, providing doctors with training and lifelong learning, and working with partners to advocate for women's health and health care across their life course. We are a global leader in this specialist area, supporting 16,000 members in the UK and internationally. We are a values-led organisation placing high standards, innovation, openness, inclusiveness and trust at the centre of all we do.

About the role

As a Finance Business Partner you will work with the Programme Manager, the Making Abortion Safe Team, the RCOG Finance team and counter-parts in the five focus countries (Nigeria, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Zimbabwe) to monitor and report on the grant funds ensuring that activities demonstrate value for money and obtain the maximum benefit from the resources available.

You will develop processes for funds to be remitted and managed overseas ensuring the safe transfer of money between RCOG and in-country partners while providing support and guidance to partner organisations and Champion Treasurers, undertaking financial monitoring calls with programme partners to ensure the financial information is accurate and up to date. Working with the RCOG Finance team you will be expected to develop financial management and accounting procedures in line with national and donor regulations offering meaningful analysis and insight on financial performance of the programme.

About you

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

Full AAT or Part ACCA/ICMA with experience of accounting and financial management
Competency in mid- range accounting software e.g. Exchequer, SAGE 200, or similar.
