The Audit Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC)* has been mandated by our client, a privately owned financial services business, to assist in their search for a Senior Risk Manager.

A Hybrid working from home model is currently in operation with this organisation.

Reporting into the Chief Risk Officer, this is a brand new role, which will spearhead the Risk team with significant target growth by the end of the year.

This position represents a fantastic opportunity for an experienced risk professional to join a new venture with huge growth potential.

As the Senior Risk Manager, you will lead and plan a wide spectrum of risk based activities including developing a risk universe in collaboration with the wider business. You will also look to improve and develop the Risk Management Frameworks and work closely with First Line and Internal Audit, taking a risk based approach to controls testing, as well as undertaking a number of critical tasks.

This role is also pivotal in influencing Risk Culture across the business and stakeholder management is at the forefront of this position.

Background Requirements:

  • Significant experience (8 years +) of working in an Operational / Enterprise Risk related role, within a regulated industry, ideally financial services
  • Be experienced in undertaking risk assurance reviews, deep dives and thematic reviews, being pragmatic and working collaboratively with risk owners and process owners to design and implement effective risk management
  • Excellent working knowledge of best practices in risk reporting and risk MI to Executive and Board level
  • Risk qualifications such as IRM are beneficial but not essential
