About the role

Hither Green (Spring Gardens & Hilda House) is a supported accommodation service for single men and women, many of whom have a variety of support needs including mental health and substance use. They provide a safe and welcoming environment for their clients who are going through their individual recovery.

The post-holder will provide first contact, reception and basic housing management to their clients. You'll be responsible for controlling access to the building, dealing with emergencies, clearing and preparing rooms, carrying out Health & Safety checks and reporting on any events or concerns.

What they're looking for

You don't need to have direct experience, but you do need a real desire to support their clients. To be successful in this post you need a can-do attitude and to have a basic level of numeracy and literacy to be able to carry out administrative duties. An understanding of the issues that affect their clients and ability to display initiative in identifying action required and taking appropriate measures are essential for the successful post holder.

You will also be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality and be able to adapt your approach, to suit a variety of situations, individuals and groups.

You must be willing to work a rota which includes working evenings and weekends and periods of Lone Working.
