Job Details

We are very excited to be recruiting a new Volunteering and Fundraising Coordinator to join Reading University Students' Union.

We're a student-led charity that supports and represents over 19,000 students at Reading. From providing advice on finance and housing to running the biggest club nights in the city and everything in between, our purpose is to improve student life.

Our annual income is around £5million. We receive some of our funding from the University and also raise funds through our retail outlets, events and advertising. Every penny we make is reinvested back into our services for students.

We're currently going through an exciting period of development and are looking for a passionate person who shares our values to join our brilliant team. Ready for the new academic year, we'll have a new strategy and look forward to welcoming new colleagues to join us on the next stage of our journey.

Working within the Student Activities team, our Volunteering and Fundraising Coordinator will focus on increasing engagement of students in all volunteering and fundraising activities. You will support existing volunteering projects whilst developing a range of new and varied volunteering opportunities. You'll aid in the development of the Raising & Giving Committee (RAG) and support our Officers to achieve their aims, whilst empowering them to create positive change for the student community.

To take on this role you will be an effective relationship builder and have experience in overseeing projects which bring together diverse groups. We'd like you to bring your ideas along with an inclusive and collaborative approach to helping us get the best outcome for our members. In return, we provide a truly exciting and varied working environment and excellent opportunities for you to develop your career.

If you're excited to help shape the future of a charity that makes a real difference to the lives of our students, we'd love to hear from you.
