We are looking for a secretary / assistant to join our clients Commercial and Commercial Property department in a crucial role to ensure the efficiency of fee earner work. This role would suit someone with experience working as a secretary in the property department of a law firm, or law graduates seeking experience in a law firm.
The ideal candidate will be expected to use initiative, technical skills, and organisational skills, and will be responsible for supporting three fee earners within the department. Training can be provided for the technical skills required, especially in relation to the procedures of commercial work, however any experience of UK property law would be desirable.
Duties will include:
Opening and closing of files
Using the firm's case management system
Using office equipment, such as the photocopier, scanner, etc.
Arranging for the dispatch of post
Arranging diary appointments
Interacting with clients over the phone
Department Specific Duties
Preparation for completion, including preparation of completion statements and other similar types of accounts
Post-completion formalities, including Land Registry applications
Drafting, for example preparation of first drafts of documents
They are offering an excellent salary for the successful applicant (£25000 to £28000) depending on experience.
