Your new role
The role will be a 3-6 month contract to help assist the retirement of the current Financial Accounting Manager. The job will revolve around understanding, updating and documenting current processes. Revising or building new models to assist in the month end reporting and in particular forecasting of the Balance sheet (AR/AP/Cashflow etc) and ensuring that the correct links and models are in place to link to the P&L and work already performed by the management accountants. Work alongside the Financial Accounting Manager to investigate, analyse and put in place effective controls for various for various accounting areas, eg VAT reporting and reconciliation
What you'll need to succeedShould be qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
High level of Excel skills required
Experience in Forecast modelling specifically around Balance sheet
Strong Analytical Skills
Accounting and compliance skills
Experience of internal Financial reporting in a big company environment
Good understanding of all areas of the Balance sheet
Understanding of all areas of P&L and where this should link to Balance sheet reporting
Ability to understand, evaluate and implement improvements in current processes
Strong understanding of a Standard Costing environment
Comfortable working with financial and non-financial personnel
Excellent team player with flexible attitude
