Made of Money is QSA's longstanding financial wellbeing project, helping individuals and families to break down barriers, start conversations and improve their relationship with money. It is built on a successful model of delivery that sees genuine financial capability requiring much more than knowing how to budget, or being able to access a debt service. It requires individuals to understand their own financial behaviour and how this is created and influenced by factors unique to them.

Since 2005, the project has worked with over 3,000 households directly, mainly in east London, and has trained 600 organisations around the UK in its distinctive approach. The team has worked with and on behalf of key funders and commissioners including Money and Pensions Service (MAPS), JP Morgan, Comic Relief and Orbit Group housing association.

As the new manager for Made of Money, you will be leading a thorough review of the project and its activities. We want to reflect on the experiences of the pandemic and look hard at how we can continue to weave digital into our service delivery. You will help set out an exciting new strategy to take our unique approach to financial capability forward stronger than ever, building our reputation for innovation and work of the very highest standard.

We want a manager who is excited by the idea of building new digital activities on the existing firm foundations of the project, experimenting, reflecting, tweaking and ultimately moving from a period of development into a period of consolidation. The manager must be someone who is keen to contribute to a changing project, and willing to lead from the front; someone who is both diligent and creative, and who takes satisfaction from delivering work of the highest standard
