Following the successful launch of our first 4 stores in the UK, we now have an exciting opportunity for a store manager based in Oxford.

The concept has enjoyed rapid growth since its global launch several years ago and there are now over 4,000 stores worldwide, proving hugely successful. The brand represents all that is Japanese in terms of style and quality, selling a wide range of products from stationery, hobby crafts and personal care to media, toys and games amongst many other exciting products - all at great value for money.

The ideal candidate will have an ability to manage the daily operations of the retail store and complete tasks related to inventory tracking, marketing and customer service. They should be a confident salesperson and be able to share their best practices in order to onboard new employees. This candidate should also possess strong leadership skills and be able to assign duties to relevant employees in order to maintain the function of the store.

Responsibilities
  • Actively drive sales with a customer-centric approach
  • Sound practical knowledge of all retail operational activities required for effective management of the shop floor, including experience of visual merchandising
  • Manage daily operations of the business and ensure sales goals are met
  • Direct employees in daily operations such as serving customers, inventory taking, reconciling cash and managing in store marketing & visual merchandising
  • Assigns duties to relevant employees
  • Conduct hiring and onboarding of new employees
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and understanding of relevant legislation
  • Track and manage inventory at store


Qualifications
  • Experience at Store Manager Level essential
  • 3 - 5 years of retail and retail management experience
  • Competent IT (Word & Excel essential) and administration skills
  • Demonstrated ability to train employees and be an effective salesperson
  • Strong customer service, management and communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit required with a start up.
