Management Accountant (6m FTC), Central London - Arts, up to £50,000 per annum

A world-renowned theatre is looking for a candidate to join their Management Accounting team to help get their current MI pack into a good place, as well as set up some new processes, run some analysis around department budgets and improve their use of the systems in place. Suitable candidates will be available immediately or on short notice, and will be qualified accountants. An interest in arts and theatre is also preferable.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Production Financial Planning and Analysis Manager in delivering excellent financial and analytical support to all the budget holders in the Production and Technical areas
To produce monthly management accounts aligned with the month end timetable, providing commentary for variances and reconciling actuals to the ledger
To support daily, weekly and monthly reporting activities and ensure that information is presented in a meaningful, transparent, and timely manner.
To be involved, as appropriate, in operations team and Finance Department special projects, annual budget setting, monthly forecasting, finance systems and process improvements, modelling work, and any other general requirements
To assist the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager with the implementation of the production budget tracking system
To help develop a method of reconciling time spent on productions with payroll data for Workshop and Technical areas. Subsequently, to develop reporting to utilise this data and help decision-making.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant
Immediately available or available at short notice
Strong interperonsal skills, ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
Strong Excel and systems skills
