Snr. Operational Account Manager

The accounts team should be the glue that holds an agency together. You're the link between the specialists within the company and always have a view of the bigger picture.

Job Brief



At the Account Management level, autonomy really should be the key to your skillset. You should be able to make executive decisions for clients and the way work is delivered.

You should have cultivated and be constantly working on relationships with clients as well as having an appreciation for the fiscal elements of the process.

You should be absolutely pro-active with new processes and staunchly stick to those you implement. You should be encouraging creativity across the company and constantly be demanding new ideas from specialists.

Responsibilities



As an Account Manager, you are held responsible for getting a project or campaign delivered as and when it has been promised, getting this done will require you to:
  • Run client accounts - this means having a complete overview of everything that is happening for that client including everything any team member is working on at any given time
  • Look after the clients, including calls, emails and meetings including agendas
  • Run the WIPs for the client as well as anything else they may need ongoing information on
  • Ensuring that everything client-facing is completely up to scratch
  • Focussing on the top-level strategy and ensuring we're on track with the client's aims as a company
  • Casting an eye over all execution of any work and being responsible for that
  • Encouraging creativity from everyone involved
  • Having a sense of how many hours should be worked on for each client based on their retainer/fee
  • Always be pitching new work and ideas into customers
  • Dealing with paid media options for client campaigns
  • Working with clients on new website briefs


In terms of the operational side of the role, we're looking for support in:
  • HR and policies
  • Profitability of client accounts
  • The creation of new company and team processes
